Winemaker Notes
Labor day weekend was under normal temperatures, no extremes. Hanging an extra week allowed the skins to thicken. 15% of the wine was placed in in French oak. This gave it the smooth and rich details that we were looking for. The barrels were stirred weekly during the first three months to add mouth feel to the wine. The results are a classic Pinot that is smooth with all the best nuances.
