Winemaker Notes
This Syrah was picked during a cool September. This gave the wine a more complex and fruity appearance. The wine was fermented in stainless steel and then put immediately to barrel where malolactic fermentation took place during the winter months. 5% of the wine was placed in American oak and 20% in French oak. This gave it the smooth and spicy details that we were looking for.
